Tim is a bass player, music producer and improvising musician with a keen interest in native birds and fascination with sonic experience.
His experience within multiple genres has led him to forge a career as improviser, sound designer and performer. In 2013 he produced Ngaiire's critically acclaimed LP Lamentations which saw him further his reputation as both a music producer and sound designer. Most recently, he has been involved in releases by Sydney artist Florian and Melbourne artist SKŸE.
He is currently touring nationally with Ross Wilson, Leah Flanagan and Killing Heidi. He has also been a regular member of Melbourne institution ‘Uncomfortable Science’ since 2017. Pre-COVID, He was often seen performing around Melbourne with his live-improvised soundscape project “Dry People Play Wet Music”, with his impro-rock band Dingbats?!, and numerous other projects. He is currently working on development of an improvised video algorithm to complement live performance, and is writing new music for a yet to be named avant-disco-scape project.
He has written, produced and engineered many other recordings with numerous artists and production projects in Sydney, based out of Typewriter Studios, Blackfoot Sound and most recently Turning Studios.
Some of his productions have featured on US and Australian TV productions, including Mistresses, Power, Rosewood, Good News Week and The Moodys.
